In the past, the Catholic tradition emphasized preparing for a good death in order to see the face of God. We need to rediscover that way of life. In this four part series, Father John Hibbard will share some spiritual and biblical reflections on living, illness, pain and dying in light of Jesus’s own experience of suffering and death. Whether this happened recently or a number of years a go, there’s no blueprint for parents to know how to grieve or commemorate their baby’s life after the loss of an infant in utero or early in their short life after delivery. It can be confusing and disorienting on top of the sorrow. The prayer service is a time to honour your baby, a time to reflect and a time to receive comfort from our Lord Jesus Christ.
