“There is a season for everything, a time for every occupation under heaven”, Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NJB)
As summer turned to fall, Archbishop Mulhall, Archbishop Emeritus O’Brien and the Pastoral Centre staff celebrated five individuals who have left their long-term posts in the Chancery Office but have given many years of fruitful service to the Archdiocese of Kingston. Deacon Bill Gervais – Archbishop’s Delegate (16 years), Monsignor Joseph Lynch – Vicar General (27 years), Sr. Lucy Kearney – Family Ministry (24 years), Susan Lett – Accounting Assistant (18 years), Bob Bryan – Caretaker (16 years).
A luncheon was held on September 8th in recognition of them and in gratitude for their many gifts, which have nourished and supported the parishes and people of the Archdiocese of Kingston. Their lives of faithful service continue in new ways as they leave their former roles behind. Deacon Bill Gervais, Sr Lucy Kearney and Bob Bryan have transitioned to retirement, while Monsignor Joseph Lynch remains Pastor of St. Joseph parish in Kingston and Susan Lett has accepted the position of Secretary at St. Joseph’s. We have been abundantly blessed by the generosity of spirit of these five individuals and we wish them well in their future endeavours.
The Archdiocese of Kingston will not be taking up donations, but instead encourage all those who are looking for a way to support to do so through one of the following options:
