Come join us for an evening where we will look at how St Francis lived the Gospel and his deep connection with God, Others, and Nature. We will discuss and share our spirituality and faith practices and how we can use St Francis as an example on our life journey today. Facilitated by Friar Ed Debono and JC Trottier, OFS
THE LETTER – Pope Francis’ movie that brings to life the transformative vision of Laudato Si has already been seen by millions of people globally. Tomas Insua, Director of Laudato Si Global movement has stated “We need many more committed Lay Catholics and committed Pastors to take up the Laudato Si mandate to care for our common home.” We warmly invite you to be one of those people by coming to a screening and dialogue about this film at St. John’s Parish @ 88 Patrick Street Hall from 1:30 – 3:30 on Saturday, November 5th. Please contact Sr. Jeannette via the Parish if you have any questions. Jeremy Milloy of CHCO will also be available to speak further to our care for our common home.
Advent is a season that prepares us to meet Jesus at Christmas, where the word became flesh. In our sessions together, we will be guided by the infancy narratives, church traditions and the 500-year-old tradition called “Ignatian spirituality” suitable for the season. Lunch and beverages will be provided. This is a free event, but please register by November 22, 2022 To register, contact Gorett at ore@romancatholic.kingston.on.ca or call 613-548-4461 ext. 112. When registering please indicate any food allergies.
